Painting...

For today we planned to go to Hobbycraft and pick up some gold and silver paints, some stencils and some cards for a bit of christmasy crafting. This all went according to plan with the addition of black and white paint. Black paint is not something we have used before as I know that the pictures created will be a mess of blackness as will all the other coloured pots of paint, luckly it wasnt quite as bad as that and 'A' did a very good stencil picture using the black.

The boys both helped to make their lunch 'A' is getting quite good now at grating cheese and has yet to grate a finger!! 'J' is more interested in helping by eating and 'H' just ate at speed anything that was given.

After having their weekend away todays behaviour has been quite terrible, with fighting, door slamming and worse than usual whining from master 'J', especially when having gone on and on and on about having a donut that was for after lunch, he gave it a cursery nibble before throwing it in the bin!

We all made Welsh Cakes in the afternoon (a cake that is made like a biscuit dough, then cooked in a frying pan?????) anyway after wrestling the bowl away from 'J' before he ate it all, they turned out quite well!

We also had some good news and some not so good news today. My friend 'L' had her 3rd baby boy - Noah this morning that was good news and the bad news was another set back in the slow recovery of a special friend, when everything was just starting to go well for her again :-(

And the main event tonight is that my brother Uncle D is getting married on the other side of the world in New Zealand to his lovely lady. The church looks beautiful and I wish we could have been there sharing his special day with the rest of the clan, but we can't so we shall be cracking open the champagne tomorrow to toast their new life together!

I am however expecting a phone call when they reach the church, just hope I hear it ringing!!!!!
