New Path......

Finally a sparkly new path....much excitement for the boys, and a little bit of sadness for 'J' who will apparently miss the old path.

This week we have been chugging along, making cakes, reading books, playing Angry Birds, going to play school  and having fewer tantrums - phew!
A few nights ago 'J' decided he wouldn't wear his pull-up to bed, he had his potty in his room and said he would get up if he needed a wee. Needless to say on exiting his room the next morning the house quickly filled with the smell of 'odour de tramp'!!! Poor little monster he has since decided that a pull-up is best at the moment :-)

Harry and I went to see my friend in Chichester, she is doing well after being poorly with an upper respiratory infection and I am going to try to get to see her every week now.

And lastly....another cause for excitement..............Gaba and Pops will be home tomorrow.......yipppeeee!!!!!

weekend roundup......

This weekend we have been to a party at Fishers farm, which was really fun, if freezing outside and tiring!!!

We have been to collect a washing machine and hopefully our new front path will be started tomorrow.

'A' is still being objectional but i hope we are nearing the end of it. it was mentioned yesterday that all the little people had been moody and stroppy this half term so it isnt just us!!

Holidays are getting closer and with this ridiculously cold weather at the moment cant come soon enough!

Challenging....

There is not often a day goes by without 'J' having a strop about something or someone. I can deal with that - just about :-)

What I have found really testing this week is 'A's jekyl/hyde behaviour. To start with we put it down to a late night last friday, then we put it down to feeling unwell with a cough and cold, now I am struggling to work out what has caused it and why????

Lets hope its just a phase..........................................another one...............................................

Frosty sunshine....

We are all feeling a bit rubbish today what with coughs and sneezes and this causes general short tempered behaviour throughout. We ventured out this morning for a quick walk as it was beautiful sunshine and crispy frostiness. The boys collected some ice from the puddles before stropping off in different directions......

'J' has been desperate to do some letter work this week using our new learning to read book, but spent most of the time rolling round the floor. He can now identify the letters c, o, s, so all was not lost. 'A' joined in and we found words that started with the letter sounds c, o, s, a, t.

Later in the afternoon we went outside again to play as it really was lovely out there. 'A' was launching his rocket he got for christmas, and they were trying to get it to go over the house. Didn't quite succeed but did manage to send it over the porch.

Grumpiness.....

So a quick round up of today is that 'A' is poorly with a cough :-( 'J' is a tiny bit snotty, but nothing major and 'H' is brewing 2 new teeth!!

Quite grumpy then all round, but we are dealing with it as calmly as possible and there has been no tantrums or shouting - hoorahh!!

Our lovely friend, one of the boys favourite people, came to see us today and brought cookies!!

'A' has done more Reading Eggs and powered through quite a hard lesson, with the help of 'J' at his side.

There has been lots of lego building in the shape of spaceships, planes and more added to the ever changing 'lego city' in 'A's bedroom.

'J' has been showing more of an interest in numbers today as well.

'J' lined up all his animals for a trek through the jungle

Back again.....

It has been a good few weeks since my last post so apologies for that. I kind of lost my blogging way and every time I sat down to write something a small person or 3 would need me - RIGHT NOW.

The usual one has been in the wars...falling off of his side table when looking out the window 

We had a trip to Worthing Museum and Art Gallery and did some digging in the sand for treasure, the boys really enjoyed themselves and liked looking at the pictures and such in the gallery.

Reading Eggs...both boys love this 'J' watches 'A' completing it but he is learning and shouting/pointing out the answers. 'A' has discovered that he can buy things with the eggs he earns by completing lessons so steams through them in an effort to furnish his 'house'

And of course lots and lots of Lego constructing!!

We have also been swimming for the first time in 8mths! 'H' a little overwhelmed to start but soon overcame it. I took him again last week with 'J' and a friend of ours with her little person and he loved it.

We have been to Fishers Farm loads, meeting up with friends and drinking lots and lots of coffee. We have had snow, rain - so much rain - and today it has been SUNNY!!!

'A' has been busy doing numbers and letters, he read a story by himself and will try to read words that we come across day to day.

Temper tantrums and grumpiness have been making a come back 'A' is not quite as bad as he was but 'J'.........I remember when 'A' was 2 yrs old thinking that it couldn't possibly get any worse than the terrible twos - then he turned 3 yrs old and it was far far far worse - 'J' is nearly 3 - enough said really!

We went Star gazing down at splash point on Friday, lots of telescopes to look at the moon through and we saw a space station zip across the sky above us. Had a walk along the seafront and got some noodles for dinner, a very late night for the mini people and we have paid for it since!

Looking forward to tomorrow, my friend is coming down, haven't seen her since Christmas :-)
